A Straighter Smile for All Ages
Do you love your teeth, but just wish they were straighter? Many adults find themselves wishing they had a straighter smile but don’t want to wear braces for two years. Now there are options! Dr. Lance Timmerman is a certified Seattle Invisalign dentist, and our patients have access to this great treatment right here in our office as well as other choices. We offer Invisalign among other orthodontic services.
Invisalign Braces are Clear and Comfortable
When you’re wearing Invisalign braces, it is difficult for others to notice. Each clear alignment tray snaps on right over your teeth in a way that is difficult to see (admittedly, as was pointed out by some patients, it is NOT 100% invisible). There are no brackets or wires needed! Our patients benefit from the freedom to eat whatever they like, and experience better oral hygiene. Simply remove your aligners during meals or brushing and flossing, then place them back into your mouth.
Invisible Braces for Adults and Teens
Adults and teens love Invisalign, because they are able to effectively straighten their smiles without monthly trips to the orthodontist. Just change out the alignment trays every 2 weeks to progress your treatment. Dr. Timmerman will monitor your progress through short visits every 6-8 weeks until your treatment is completed. Most patients achieve desired results between 6-24 months.
6 Month Smiles Cosmetic Braces
Some cases simply are NOT candidates for Invisalign. Severe rotations or significant crowding make the choice for Invisalign not possible. Another option is 6 Month Smiles, a NEARLY invisible option. While it DOES use brackets and wires, they are tooth colored and therefore nearly as hard to notice as Invisalign. The focus of treatment is just the front teeth that show when smiling, so treatment time is an average of 6 months (24 weeks). Perfection is not a goal, but dramatic improvements are possible.
Another REMOVABLE option (like Invisalign) but not invisible (unlike Invisalign) is the Inman aligner. Specially designed with springs and wires, this device can gently and quickly move teeth into position with an average treatment time of 8 to 18 weeks.
