Cerec
It is an instrument called Cerec 3D, which allows Dr. Timmerman to complete a ceramic tooth restoration (inlays and/or crowns) in one visit instead of two. To make the restoration Dr. Timmerman first paints a reflective powder over the prepared tooth. Using a special camera, he takes an accurate picture of the tooth. This optical impression is transferred and displayed on a color computer screen, where Dr. Timmerman uses technology to design the restoration chair side. The computer then takes over and creates the porcelain restoration. Finally, Dr.Timmerman bonds the new restoration in place. This means all porcelain inlays/onlays, ¾ crowns, and full crowns are completed in ONE appointment and the patient does NOT wear a temporary for two weeks!
