Emergency and Therapeutic Extractions

Dental extractions are sometimes necessary due to severely damaged, broken, or infected teeth. For instance, wisdom tooth removal is one of the more common extraction procedures that we offer due to impaction or infection of these 3rd molars. Dr. Lance Timmerman provides emergency and therapeutic extractions for patients in pain or who are having a prosthesis placed, such as a dental implant.

We Keep You Comfortable

Your comfort during any dental procedure, especially extractions, is one of our top priorities. In addition to utilizing local anesthesia, we also offer sedation options during your treatment.

Types of sedation that we offer include:

  • Nitrous oxide
  • Oral conscious sedation / sleep dentistry
  • IV sedation

We have something perfect for everyone.

Sedation not only helps keep you as comfortable as possible, it’s also great for relaxing or easing your nerves if you’re not fond of having dental treatment. Dr. Lance Timmerman is a licensed sleep dentistry provider, and we make this option available to all of our patients!

"By removing a damaged tooth, you’re protecting the rest of your smile from infection or damage to otherwise healthy teeth."
—Dr. Lance Timmerman
Dr Timmerman was amazing. I received a wisdom tooth extraction for the first time and he did the whole process in 30 mins. I needed my tooth out last minute because it was aching and he was able to accomodate. His bedside manner was wonderful, he made me feel really safe because the procedure was new to me. I would totally recommend him!

Replacing Extracted Teeth

It’s important to have a plan to replace your tooth once it is extracted (except for wisdom teeth.) Otherwise, other teeth in the mouth will drift out of place and create misalignment or abnormal bite patterns throughout your mouth.

Some of the tooth replacement options that we offer at our Seattle office are

  • Dental implant crowns
  • Fixed dental bridges and implant bridges
  • Removable dentures and partial dentures
  • Implant supported dentures

We also offer the latest in gum disease laser therapy.
